The Treads are a D.C.-based band: guitar, mandolin, bass, and drums. Sometimes a fiddle or a banjo.
We play alt-country, bluegrass, roots rock, Southern Gothic, and Americana - mostly originals, but some covers, too. We bring together a diverse musical heritage, from the Mississippi Delta to the Virginia Piedmont. We play where we're from, where we are.
